What could be better than ensuring future generations have fewer systemic burdens weighing them down? It was through her own fate that Sietske (1984) discovered her mission in life: guiding children in finding their rightful place in their family system. An integral part of this is helping parents become more aware of the pull children feel to take care of them. Because she became a widow at a young age and bore sole responsibility for her son starting when she was still pregnant, Sietske experienced firsthand how swiftly a child can ascend to a caregiver role in relation to a parent. The healing powers of family constellations can help children return to their rightful place and thus live their own lives. Sietske’s work has always centered on people, especially children. She derives energy from guiding others by offering them insights. After studying pedagogical sciences at Radboud University in Nijmegen, she worked extensively with children and parents, in both the healthcare and education sectors. Starting out as a therapist, Sietske progressed to becoming a leader through the natural course of events. When she was serving as the director of a people-oriented organization, Sietske became increasingly aware of the systemic laws that influence how companies and their people function. Inspired by this, she then trained as a family constellation facilitator at the Institute for Systemic Work (IVSW). The range of roles she fulfills at The Fountain suit Sietske to a tee: she creates space to see the bigger picture, and from there, she sets the right things in motion. In addition, Sietske leads the three-day SIOO (Interuniversity Center for Organization Studies and Change Management) training course “Dealing with group dynamics” twice a year.
Sietske is able to deeply touch people with her calm and powerful energy. She is open and curious, while simultaneously guiding you to the essence of life, to where things are free to flow and you can thrive.
